Volunteer Escorts play a significant role on every trip, ensuring that every veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, physically assisting 3-4 veterans at the airport, during the flight and at the memorials. The fee for a Volunteer Escort is a minimum contribution of $500 per trip and is payable upon your acceptance as a Volunteer Escort.
HonorAir Knoxville will be accepting a maximum of 4 students escorts per flight. The fee for a Volunteer Escort is waived for Students. Applicants must submit a short essay explaining why this trip is of importance to them. Duties include, but are not limited to, physically assisting the veterans at the airport, during the flight and at the memorials.
